Neck Lift

Tighten Your Neck and Improve Facial Contours

A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that reduces visible signs of aging on the jawline and neck. The loss of contours in the face and neck can be due to a variety of factors, including heredity, gravity, environmental conditions, and stress. The results of neck lift procedure will improve the appearance of loose, sagging skin under your jaw line and create a more desired contour.

Not everyone who is unhappy with the look of the neck needs neck lift surgery. For example, if it’s just excess fat you’re unhappy with, this can be taken care of with a liposuction procedure. However, if there are loose, excess skin and muscle banding in the neck, a neck lift may be the most appropriate choice.

Neck Lift – What to Expect

Your neck lift will begin with a small incision under the chin and the ear. Dr. Marvel will then manipulate your muscles to create tighter contour. Once this is achieved, he will remove excess skin if necessary and re-drape the skin.

Neck lift patients are given a supportive garment to wear around the jaw for at least a week after surgery to keep the new contours in place. It’s important to avoid strenuous activity during your recovery process, which could take up to a month. But you will be able to resume normal daily activities after just a few days.

Costs are dependent upon the patient. Some patients choose to have this procedure done in conjunction with another surgery, such as a facelift. Call us 615-329-3900 or use contact our office today for more information, or to schedule a consultation.
